ONE of the oldest Lions Clubs in the state of Missouri, chartered in 1924, the South Side Lions has a large and growing membership. Since chartered, the Lions have supported the blind, handicapped, underprivileged children and other charitable organizations in the St. Louis Metro area.

SOUTH SIDE LIONS OBJECTIVES 

TO CREATE and foster understanding among people of our community.

TO PROMOTE the principles of good government and good citizenship.

TO TAKE an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

TO SUPPORT all civic clubs and organizations with friendship, fellowship and mutual understanding.

TO PROVIDE a forum for open discussions however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.

TO ENCOURAGE service-minded men and women to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavor.
